Yann Tiersen
“Comptine D’Un Autre: L’Apres Midi”
AmélieI neither speak French, nor have I seen this movie, but I’m told the title means “A short song about another afternoon” (or thereabouts), the main theme from Amélie. It’s a gentle tune, emphasis piano, which fits with this description from IMDB.com:
Amelie, an innocent and naive girl in Paris, with her own sense of justice, decides to help those around her and along the way, discovers love.
It just so happens that most of the most beautiful scores are written for the piano; this is one of them.
